Yes, this is the only place to eat in Wasco. But when in Wasco, it's where you should be going. It's everything you want and expect from a small town Oregon spot. Loved it completely.
FOOD
The fries are handcut and delicious! Fries and all of the steak cuts look like what you should be getting here honestly. I got a regular burger and my boo got a cheese pizza, which we both found totally unexceptional but satisfying (I should add that we'd just ran 10 miles before coming here, which explains the satisfying part) Next time (and there will be next time!) I'd probably go for the steak or a breaded fried item (chicken, cod, clam are available).
DRINK
No beer taps but enough domestic and micro bottle options to satisfy any palate. Of micros: full sail, deschutes, ninkasi, and 10 barrel were available, and at least one cider option. Pabst, Coors and the domestic brews are most popular here. I didn't try their cocktails, but that's likely their specialty! No clue about wine.
AMBIANCE *****
This is a rural Oregon town and you're getting the real rural Oregon here. Personally I love it, and I love that it's true to where it's at. Lots of elk, wild turkey, deer, and bears on the wall. Lottery in the back. And there's a nice pool table too!
SERVICE
Servers are totally perfect. Loved our waitress and the owner. You just walk in and know that you want to be their friends. Service and ambiance gets this place 5 stars. Thank you for being here!! -

Only place to eat in many miles. We waited over an hour to get our food. The food was ok and the drinks all come in cans.

Shared a table with the nicest " locals ". Shared great stories over good food. Great gravy and mashed potatoes. Ran out of chicken fried steak so had a hamburger patty. No fountain Coke but such interesting lovely people made it a fun evening.

Big restaurant in a small town. Food is good, staff is friendly.
If you find yourself in Wasco, give them a try. -

Cool little saloon on one side and cafe on the other. Prime rib night Saturday. The baked potato fixins left something to be desired, but the meat was good. You won't leave hungry.
